Cinevate Morpheus: Affordable Stabilization

Those Canadians can really come up with some cool stuff sometimes, and this time it’s the Cinevate Morpheus. The Cinevate Morpheus is such a unique product that I had to post something about it here. I hope that if you receive yours before I get mine, that you will let me know what you think of it.

The options for this little gadget are inspiring, and they put professional film making at its most affordable level so far. Whether you just want to fly your small camera or give it wheels and rails, the Cinevate Morpheus is entirely capable. The best part is the $139 price tag for the stabilizer. For only $139 you can walk around with your small camera and have smooth video after you have mastered how to balance it correctly.

Cinevate has instructional videos, of course, that will have you on your way to better cinematography in no time. The video above shows the Cinevate Morpheus in action with a GoPro, Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera, and iPhone 6. If the video alone doesn’t convince you that this is the greatest thing since sliced bread for your small camera, then maybe you just have too much money. The Rails Kit with the Timelapse Add-on is light, compact and seems to have an easy set up. Don’t forget to watch the other videos of the Cinevate Morpheus in action below. I love inexpensive, innovative products, and those guys at Cinevate have come up with a real winner with the Morpheus system.

10/26/15 Update: I just learned that you can purchase Morpheus as a dolly and slider. It is no longer available as a stabilizer. – See more at:

Well you could actually get more affordable gimbal stabilization with KumbaCam or Zhiyun. A bit cheaper but still the top quality.
