LockPort HDMI Protector

We all know that those tiny, mini HDMI ports have difficulty standing up to the weight of a full size HDMI cable causing strain to the connector that can cause the signal to be unreliable. Well, this is where the LockPort HDMI Protector comes in handy. The LockPort HDMI Proctector will turn your mini HDMI port into a full size HDMI port and take away the stress that might be introduced by using full-sized cables. This modification comes in several flavors. Pictured above is the one for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. However, look for sizes designed to fit the popular Sony A7 and Panasonic GH4, Canon 5d, Nikon, and other cameras not mentions via a universal mount. If it weren’t for third-party manufacturers like Wooden Camera and LockCircle, how would we survive every time a new camera is introduced that has exciting, new electronic technology but cost-cutting flimsy hardware? I know these camera manufacturers are desperately trying to keep costs down for more of their products to be sold to professionals and budding amateurs alike, but sometimes, after one has purchased these goods, upon repetitive use, certain changes become necessary to “beef up” some of the weaker points of the device for each user. the LockPort HDMI Protector is one such modification that I would consider adding to my arsenal.
